The client

Hurria Street is an online store built around a hard promise: a Sudanese family in the Gulf buys a fridge, a generator or an air cooler for relatives at home, pays abroad, and trusts that it arrives in Khartoum or Port Sudan with a warranty. Cush runs the whole marketing function, from the WooCommerce storefront and Arabic content to creators, paid media, analytics and the monthly accountability report to the general manager.

Where they started

A store that had never taken a payment. Five hundred and eleven followers across four channels. A WordPress site that had lost its fixes in a hosting move, forty plugins deep, with a checkout nobody had tested end to end. Google Search Console held no data at all.

What was wrong

The instinct is to buy traffic. The problem was trust. A stranger has to believe in the brand enough to pay for something they will never see before it reaches their family. Product shots and machine-translated Arabic do not earn that. Real Sudanese voices do. Underneath, the site could not have carried a sale even if one had arrived.

What we did

A full Arabic pass on products, categories and brands, three pages converted to right-to-left, and the plugin stack cut towards twenty-five with a backup before every change. Analytics, Merchant Center, Tag Manager, Search Console and Business Profile access opened so the client's team could act on its own data.

Three creator briefs written to each creator's own format rather than a house script. The first creator's direct-to-camera explainer went live within the month. The general manager received a shoot list and appeared in produced, people-led video instead of stock footage.

The report to leadership reviewed every July commitment one by one, including the two that were not delivered in the form promised. That page is part of the service, not an apology.

What changed

Reach went from 24,089 to 986,047 and engagement from 870 to 26,349. One creator video reached 674,614 people, more than the whole brand reached in July. The general manager's own video drew 393,694 views and 7,221 new follows. The audience drove 9,759 sessions, 1,424 add-to-cart events and 486 WhatsApp conversations. One of those carts became the first order the store has ever closed: a Nesma 5000 desert air cooler, AED 930. The report draws the purchase bar two pixels wide next to the sessions bar, because that is its true size. The gap between 1,424 carts and one sale points at a payment restriction logged on 29 August, and fixing it is September's first commitment.

The evidence

Your buyers are also waiting to hear from a real person in their own dialect.

The sector was diaspora retail. The move was creator-led video in the audience's own dialect, on a site fixed well enough to take the money. It works for any brand whose buyer has to trust before they can try.
